At VVS Portrait, a headshot photography studio on the southern end of the Gold Coast, I limit bookings to just two sessions per day. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. That keeps the studio calm, private and pressure-free. There are no strangers watching, no crowded waiting rooms, and no back-to-back bookings pushing you out the door.
I don’t believe in 30-minute rush jobs. Yes, lighting and camera settings can be dialled in quickly with experience. But the part that actually makes a powerful business headshot is your expression. Confidence, approachability and presence don’t appear on command. They build when you feel comfortable and supported.
Most clients arrive a little nervous. That’s completely normal. The magic happens when you stop thinking about the camera and start being yourself. That’s why I focus on quality over quantity every single time. I’d rather create images you truly love and use than rush you through for volume.
