What is Boudoir Photography?

According to Wikipedia, it’s this:
Boudoir photography is a photographic style featuring intimate, and sometimes erotic images of its subject. This can be in a photographic studio, bedroom or private dressing room environment, primarily intended for the private enjoyment of the subject and his or her romantic partners. Wikipedia
Forget Wikipedia, I think this is best answered properly, from none other than a Boudoir Photographer! 😘
I think boudoir photography is all about women celebrating their beauty. The beauty that makes a woman, a woman, and being comfortable in their own skin.
It’s become a way for tired, overworked women to get their sexy back in a way they’d never even dreamed of.
Sexy is an attitude, not a size!
This type of photography is not just about posing in your sexy undies, or being nude. It’s all about the feelings it evokes, something that stirs up inside you that is screaming to get out. It’s daring, fun and very exciting! That can happen wearing a robe, a white sheet, jeans and a sexy top. Or even a leather jacket with nothing underneath.
When you bring out your inner confidence, you’ll find the self-esteem that’s been hidden and forgotten. It comes up and says – “This girl is on fire!!” Or, that’s how I imagine it.
Seriously, it really changes the way a woman looks at herself, and in turn, acts. She becomes so powerful, at ease with herself, and has once again the belief of self-worth.
I am always so happy at the amount of women who leave their boudoir session and turn around to me to say “I can’t believe I waited so long to do that!”
Boudoir photography is not just for people that are used to being in front of the camera. It’s for you, me, and every woman. It doesn’t matter what colour you are, what size you are, or your age. As a result, your confidence will surface once you start, and then even more once you see your photos.
You’re out of your comfort zone, and this is when the cool stuff happens. This is what changes a person!
And so that is BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY!
Well, even if you disagree, that is what we’re calling Boudoir Photography here.
You are a beautiful powerful WOMAN!
